  • Live demos only make your product stronger. If Meta AI glasses hadn’t shown a rare race condition on stage, this bug would possibly never have been fixed.

  • Here’s a curious find. Install Grok, create an account. Delete app. Delete all Safari data. Reinstall Grok on iOS. You will still be signed in. How is it possible?

  • Apple Passwords app forgetting suggested passwords

I think Passwords app forgot suggested password. Again. Be careful. CC @rmondello@mastodon.social

    14 October 2025 Update.

Just of curiosity using iOS 18.6.2, used suggested password inside an app and Passwords app didn’t create any record of it. I kind of knew it’s going to happen, because this happened before.

  • I’m just thinking more about Liquid Glass, putting icons further from the edge of the screen prevents accidental input. It does happen to me more than I like since switching from iPhone 16 Pro to iPhone SE 2. I welcome the change.

  • AirPods increasing metallic noises

I have an issue with my AirPods Pro, both AirPods Pro 3rd generation and AirPods 4th generation.

When I use any kind of noise cancellation or adaptive modes, including, Transparency when I am, in a gym and there is a metal touching another metal, or, for example, when I’m locking the door and hear a loud click, but it seems that AirPods amplify these sounds like so it’s twice or even three times as loud as it should be. It’s easy to reproduce with nail clippers. It’s kind of even painful and the only way to fix it is to disable all the noise features.

  • What is the console

In light of Switch 2 release and recent “Xbox” announcement from Rog Ally. This is a total mess and needs a blog post. The reason I put “Xbox” in quotes is because the device can’t actually run all Xbox games natively. It’s a PC, so it can stream Xbox games from the Microsoft cloud or play the games which are available on PC. But it can’t run Xbox exclusive games because it’s a different hardware. Nintendo Switch has three major differences to Steam Dock and its Windows clones:

    1. Games do not require changing settings.
    2. Switching between portable and TV mode without changing settings.
    3. Playing with controllers in your hand disconnected.

And these advantages are why Switch is a much better choice for most people. No matter how many launchers they add and how much performance they will try to squeeze out of the portable PCs, they will never catch up with Switch. In addition, games can run better on Switch because it’s a single hardware spec.
